Redhat Hiring Software Engineers (Freshers and Experienced)

Job summary
The Role:

Red Hat is looking for an Associate Software Engineer to join the Software Applications Validation Engineering Team.

Software Engineers at Red Hat are researchers and designers of system software at the sub-system levels often solving 
complex and challenging problems. Such a role requires an ability to analyse information and collaborate on a large scale 
with projects all across the company. It allows building strong appreciation of program design, systems engineering 
fundamentals, nimble coding practices and, an insight into how great projects turn into mass consumed products.

As a Software Engineer, the candidate has the opportunity to look for challenges in facilitating easy application development
 and even refine existing code-bases to help them scale across the complexities of deployment.
Primary job responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities:

Red Hat's Software Certification and Validation Team develops tools and technologies that help enable ISVs partner with
Red Hat and build products for the Red Hat platform.

This is a full time role. The individual is expected to work on the sustaining engineering of data-stores, optimize request
response times, suggest improvements in database architecture in order to undertake analytics on the data.
Application and API development is also part of the responsibilities. Continuing involvement in Free and Open Source
projects will be considered a plus.
Required skills
Required Skills & Experience:
  • 0-2 years of experience in data driven application/service development 
    (preferably on Linux)
  • Strong knowledge of MySQL (including system architecture)
  • Knowledge of scripting languages: Python/Bash/Perl/Ruby
  • Understanding of statistical data processing (preferred)
  • Knowledge of algorithms and optimization
  • Familiarity with NoSQL artifacts (Hadoop, CouchDB etc) is a plus
