Department Overview

The Technology Web Testing group provides testing services to Technology Web Delivery projects for functional testing manual as well as automated.

Job Description

The successful candidate would be expected to be a part of the Technology Retail Web testing group within Web Delivery, which would be responsible for testing of all aspects of functional testing on multi-platform, multi-client systems developed on varied platforms. Would be responsible for functional testing manual or automated during Time Boxing phase (QA Testing), System Integration Testing and Regression Testing.

Key Responsibilities

ð        Create well defined and re-usable suites of functional tests for applications and products.

ð        Good Knowledge of applications under test

ð        Assisting in the creation and being responsible for compliance to the Testing standards, process, procedure and methodology across all test areas.

ð        Test execution and reporting of assigned task

ð        Ensure adherence to Quality Assurance processes while writing Test Scripts.

ð        Maintaining the test preparation and execution efficiency as per plan

ð        Creation and maintenance of Automation scripts using keyword driven framework

ð        Maintain a current working knowledge of the key business systems 

ð        Liaise with development team and BAs for clarification of requirements and defects 

ð        Think from a customer viewpoint and to understand the complexities of the business.

ð        Analyse and accurately log defects. Demonstrate consistent and good judgement of assessing severity of issues

ð        Experience of working in tight deadlines in a mature ‘complex’ testing environment 

Job Requirements

Experience and Qualifications

 

 

q       B.E./B.Tech/MBA/M.C.A/Any other bachelors Degree. 

q       At least 6 months of experience in Functional testing. 

q       Knowledge of complete software testing lifecycle. 

q       Experience of working with multi-cultural and geographically disparate teams.

 

 

 

 

Desirable Skills / Experience

 

 

q       Experience in Automated functional testing using QTP would be preferred else Experience and Knowledge of any automation tool would be good.

 

q       Knowledge of FSDM or any other well known software development life-cycle methodology

 

q       Knowledge of Agile methodology would be preferable

 

q       Testing experience in Financial domain

 

q       ISEB certification or equivalent

 

q       Experience of using the Mercury Quality Centre.
