- Hands on in Coding (using any one of the programming languages - Java / C / C++) and Problem Solving
- Strong experience in using Data Structures and Algorithm.
- Experience in Test Automation Framework Development, Automation Tool Design and Development.
- Excellent programming skills in either C, C++ or Java or .Net
- Demonstrable experience in writing clean code quickly
- Strong fundamentals in core Computer Science areas like Data Structures and Algorithms.
- Linux system development experience is a plus.
- Bring years of software engineering and product delivery experience, with strong background in algorithms and high performance distributed systems.
- Understanding of QA methodologies, life cycle and processes
- Experience in writing testing frameworks and automation tools is preferable

A Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) at Amazon is a developer with the primary responsibility of writing frameworks and tools to test products. It is a very unique and challenging role and provides immense opportunity to design and develop wide-reaching tools. It combines the "building" aspect of software design engineering with the "breaking" aspect of software test engineering.
